What do you write in a Christmas card?
A Christmas greeting does not have to be long. The most important thing is that it is personal. Start with the name of the person the card is for, write one or two sentences and finish with a greeting and your name. Here are some ideas you can use or build on:
To the family: "Dear Granny. Merry Christmas and thank you for everything you have done for us in 2026. We look forward to seeing you. Love from ..."
To friends: "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for a year full of good times. See you in 2027!"
To colleagues: "Thank you for a great year working together in 2026. I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."
To a child: "Dear Ida. Merry Christmas! We hope you love your present. Lots of hugs from Granny and Grandad."
Christmas cards for your gift
The Christmas cards go with all our Christmas gifts, such as Christmas baubles with names, Christmas hearts and Christmas figures. If you give a gift with a name or a year, the card can say a little about why that particular text is on the gift. Put the card with the gift when it goes under the Christmas tree, or send it on its own as a Christmas greeting.
Cards for other occasions
If you need a card for another celebration, you will also find cards for birthdays, weddings and christenings as well as cards with star signs among our greeting cards.
